How Are Dental Bridges Applied?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the first step of this application depends on the size and damage of the tooth, the procedures to be followed are determined. It is performed with great care by our expert physicians at the Specialist Dental Clinic. After the examination, thinning and incisions are applied to the teeth. During the procedure, the tooth is placed under anesthesia, and then an impression is taken. A mold of the tooth is made with the printing paste prepared by our specialist, and a temporary bridge tooth is attached after the printing phase. The purpose of installing a temporary bridge is to prevent the thinned teeth from becoming sensitive.<\/p>\n

The molded teeth are sent to the laboratory for preparation. There may then be a waiting period of 3 to 10 days. When the teeth are prepared, they go for examination for installation. During assembly, features such as deficiencies, excesses, dental comfort, and compatibility with the mouth are checked. If there is a problem, our doctor will solve it and the bonding process will begin.<\/p>\n

Traditional Bridge<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a very simple process. Support is provided by anchoring the problematic tooth to adjacent teeth, and some grinding is applied to the anchor teeth to secure the edges while the problematic tooth is treated. Purpose: filling cavities and fixing the damaged tooth. The biggest advantage of this method is that the view of the bridge is not obvious. It is very aesthetically pleasing.<\/p>\n

Maryland (Wing) Bridge<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this procedure, also called adhesive, a bridge is made by bonding it to adjacent teeth. The artificial tooth that replaces the missing tooth adheres imperceptibly behind adjacent teeth. The back surface of the natural teeth is roughened on the sides and glue is applied. Both sides of the artificial tooth are fixed by allowing these adhesives to pass through. The purpose of this is bridge surgery to prevent the cutting of healthy natural teeth.<\/p>\n

Free End (Suspension) Bridge<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also known as Balcony Bridge. This is a bridge that is placed on only one side of the damaged tooth if it is a natural tooth. This method is used when the patient does not want to use the prosthesis.<\/p>\n

The natural tooth next to the artificial tooth is cut and filed to make room for the suspension bridge. The artificial tooth is then fixed to the natural tooth with an adhesive material.<\/p>\n
